子育てをしていると、毎日があっという間に過ぎます。

朝起きて、支度をして、ごはんを食べさせ、送り出し、仕事や家事をこなし、寝かしつける…。

それの繰り返しで、「私は今、成長できているのかな？」とふと立ち止まることがあります。

でも、子どもの成長を見ていると昨日までできなかったことが、今日はできるようになる。

昨日まで言えなかった言葉が、ふいに出てくる。

などの、“挑戦”と“成長”の繰り返しを見せてくれます。

そんな子どもたちの背中を見ながら、私たち大人も「10%だけ新しいことに挑戦してみよう」と思えるようになりました。

そうすることで、毎日が少しでも豊かになるような気分になります。

たとえば、本を数ページだけ読んでみる。

新しいストレッチを取り入れてみる。

ブログを更新してみる。

新しい料理を作ってみる。

ちょっとした事ですが、この“10%だけ”というのがポイントです。

無理に頑張りすぎると、続かなくなってしまうので、「ほんの少し」なら、できる気がするかと思います。

そして、「振り返り」です。

子どもと「今日は何を習ったの？何をして遊んだ？」と、些細な会話ですが子どもと話す時間をつくるのもおすすめです。

小さな気づきを共有することが、“共感”という深い安心感を育ててくれます。

完璧にやろうとしたら、やる前から疲弊してしまうので、10%ずつ、子どもと一緒に成長していけたら、それだけで十分かと思います。

子育ては、自分育てと思っています。

昨日より少し前進した子どもと自分。

昨日より少しだけ違う視点で物事を見られたこと。

その10%を積み重ねていくことで、私たちもまた、子どもたちと同じように育っていけたらと感じています🌱

“Growing 10% Together with Our Children”

Raising children makes the days fly by.

We wake up, get everyone ready, feed them, send them off, go to work, do housework, put them to bed… then repeat.

Sometimes, I pause and wonder, “Am I growing at all?”

But then, I watch my children and realize something—they show me what it means to grow.
What they couldn’t do yesterday, they try and succeed in today.
Words they couldn’t say yesterday suddenly spill out naturally.

Watching their cycle of “challenge” and “growth” inspires me too—
To take on just 10% more than yesterday.

That little bit of change brings richness to my days.

For example:

• Reading a few pages of a book
• Trying a new stretch
• Updating my blog
• Cooking a new recipe

These small acts may seem insignificant, but the key is the “just 10%” mindset.
If we push too hard, it won’t last. But a little bit? That feels doable.

And then, we reflect.
I ask my child, “What did you learn today? What games did you play?”

Even small conversations like these help nurture a sense of connection and empathy.

Trying to be perfect is exhausting.
So let’s grow, bit by bit, with our children.

Parenting is also personal growth.
Seeing things from a slightly new angle, doing something slightly different than yesterday—

That 10% each day adds up, and just like our children,
we too are growing 🌱
